The development will consist of the demolition of the existing two storey office building located adjacent to the site entrance, and the construction of an extension to the existing filling hall on the resultant cleared area. This extension shall extend eastwards from the existing filling hall and shall measure approximately 390m2 by 9.5 m high at its highest point. The extension shall be constructed with a curved roof which will extend over the existing carton store and be clad with an insulated standing seam roof in olive green to match the existing buildings. A two storey office block shall be constructed to the southeast corner of the cleared area consisting of changing rooms measuring 140m2 on the ground floor. The first floor area will measure 120m2 containing office space for staff. This building will measure one metre higher than the extended filling hall at its highest point and shall be constructed with a monopitch roof. The curved wall to the front southeast elevation shall be blockwork separated with window bays & louvers. A new IT room shall be constructed measuring 21m2 adjacent to the existing carton store. (1) Proposed carton breaker extension. This is a single storey extension located to the west end of the south elevation of the main building with a floor area of 60sqm. (2) Change of use of the offices on the first floor of the existing welfare block to a canteen. The existing on site canteen to be removed as previously approved under Reg. Ref. 12/75. (3) Retention of previously approved debagger extension (Ref. Ref. 10/901). The original extension had a proposed floor area of 92sqm with 3 No. loading bays. The extension built, was reduced in size to 66sqm with 2 No. loading bays. (4) Proposed construction of a single storey office block with floor area of 112sqm. It is to be situated to the east of the main building in the car park previously approved under Reg. Ref. 12/75. Works to include minor alterations to car park layout to facilitate location of proposed office block. (5) Construction of the following single storey electrical rooms on site; a dairy transformer room – 16sqm; b.MV substation – 63sqm. All electrical rooms will comply with ESB standards. These works along with the previously granted car park and berm Reg. Ref. 12/75 will be undertaken to form part of Glanbia’s commitment to improve on going site facilities and are programmed to be complete during 2014.
