Development Description:
proposed expansion of their existing 'Waste Processing and Transfer Facility' located at Unit M1, Osberstown Industrial Park, Osberstown, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 FXP7. The proposed development will consist of 1) an increase in waste throughput at the facility from 21,000 to 49,500 tonnes per annum, 2) alterations to existing site layout to include the construction of an additional two waste processing buildings with approximate gross floor areas of 1,571m2 and 1,821m2, 3) relocation of an existing shed, originally approved planning permission under planning reference 13/581 to an alternate location within the yard, 4) expansion of existing storage yard, 5) stormwater attenuation unit and associated drainage and treatment infrastructure, 6) construction of additional staff welfare facilities, 7) provision of car and lorry parking areas, 8) provision of yard lighting, including lighting poles, 9) site boundary walls and 10) all ancillary site development works. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and a Natura Impact Statement (NIS) will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application. The proposed facility will require a review of the existing 'Waste Facility Permit' which shall be sought through a separate application to Kildare County Council.
