the renovation and repair of the existing Kitchen Courtyard buildings, which include a Protected Structure, to accommodate meeting, lecture and conference facilities with ancillary dining, toilets and storage. The works include the reinstatement of two former doorways; five new doorway openings; rearrangement of internal walls to accommodate the proposals; two new openings in the wall to the Junior Garden, in order to improve the external circulation, and beside the Diesel House. All external walls are to be cleaned, repaired and repointed in accordance with the conservation method statement and the courtyard is to be repaved. Retention Permission is also sought for three existing roof lights in the Apple Store building. In addition, permission is sought for nine new rooflights in the main building block and for a solar panel in the hidden roof valley of the same building
