Development Description:
a change of use of an existing building from feed/fiber store to manufacturing of plastics restricted to waste plastic associated with feedstock for an established bio-gas facility. Permission is also sought for new attenuation tank and surface water drain, along with all associated site works. A waste Licence is required for this proposed development
Extension of Duration of 06/2950 - Construct a New Dry Sow house, 2 No Farrowing Rooms, extension to 3 no. Weaner Houses in compliance with Welfare Regulations. Also for the revision and location of the type and location of Tanks, engineered storage basin and shed for a Biogas Plant to process pig manure and other organic material to produce renewable energy and fertilizer previously granted under planning permission 03/734
to modify a permitted biogas facility so as to render it more efficient and compatible with Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine requirements. Retention Permission is soubht for 1. The reorientation and increase in size of the permitted reception building. 2. The relocation of permitted structures (plant room, pasteurizing tank, fuels tank, CHP facility and switch room) from inside the reception building to an external location at the end of the process. 3. The fibre store building in its entirety (including extension to permitted building). 4. Relocation of the permitted manure storage basin. Permission is also sought to modify the biogas facility originally permitted under Reg Ref 06/2950 (extended by 3 years under Reg. Ref. 13/12) and subsequently modified under Reg. Ref. 09/1058 and Reg Ref 10/846 as follows. 1. Relocate the permitted primary digester and the secondary digester at a 90 degree angle to the permitted location. 2. Relocate the permitted plant room from inside the reception building to a location between the two primary digesters. 3. Construct new manure stoage basin adjacent to the existing manure storage basin. 4. Construct a second primary digester tank. 5. Construct an office building. 6. Complete the construction of the reception building. 7. Erect a pasteurization enclosure. The application does not involve any increase in the tonnage of feedstock from that already permitted by the Council under previous permissions. This development comprises of an activity in relation to which a licence under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 as amended by the Protection of the Environment Act 2003 is required
