For renovations and additions to the protected structure known as Clongowes Wood Castle and adjoining single-storey performing arts building comprisign the following works, internal alterations to the Castle on ground floor level to provide new staff
A 249 sq. metre part single- storey and part two - storey headmasters dwelling house and associated site works. A four bedroom detached dwelling with sitting room, kitchen, dining room, family room, study and guest bedroom at ground floor level and three family bedrooms at first floor level. Siteworks include a connection to the main sewer, surface water soakaways, parking, new vehicular entrance gate and piers, hard and soft landscaping, removal of temporary contractor’s carpark and surrounding spoil heaps and surface upgrade of existing road to permanent access road for this proposed headmaster’s house. It is intended that subject to a grant of permission for this application the applicant will not construct the headmaster’s house as granted under planning permission ref 16/571 on a proximate site.
