Development Description:
(a) Permission to reduce the ground level of existing lands (3.050 Ha) located to the west of the existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot by 1 metre and using this soil to construct planted grassed berms along the perimeter of the site on said lands to the west of existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot. Approximately 400mm of crushed stone will be placed on the reduced level lands to form a hardcore storage area for vehicles. (b) Permission to use the lowered lands described above as ancillary storage space for Pre-Categorised Vehicles (PCV’s), End of Life Vehicles with commercial value (ELV with CV) and End of Life Vehicles with no commercial value (ELV no CV). (c) Permission to increase the annual number of vehicles processed on site from 5500 to 12500 vehicles per annum. (d) Permission for the construction of a single storey industrial style side extension to the east of the existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot to be used for storage of recycled car parts for online distribution. (e) Permission to upgrade the existing secondary effluent treatment system at the existing location and to install a new soil polishing filter on additional lands located to the east of existing established and permitted facility. (f) Permission for the construction of a single storey stand alone, detached building to the east of existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot to be used for the recycling of electric/hybrid vehicle battery packs and all associated site works. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and the EIAR is available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy during office hours at the offices of the planning authority. Development at this site
will consist of the construction of an end of life vehicle recycling plant overall size 2,300sq.mts.in portal frame construction with concrete floor and metal cladding facades within and existing vehicle recycling facility(Waste Permit no.11/2000)etc
Of: (a) Existing building as constructed on site for the purposes of an end of life facility (ELV), car recycling and associated works and activities ancillary to car recycling (refer to items listed in section C below). Retention permission is required for internal layout modifications to ground floor and first floor of previously permitted and approved car recycling depot under planning reference 05/825. A portion of the first floor layout is used as an office area for use as an online sales depot. External door and window arrangements have deviated from the parent permission as a result of internal layout changes. (b) Retention permission for increase in site boundaries from permitted parent planning permission reference 05/825 (the site area is now 9.67 acres (3.91ha) as opposed to the permitted site area of 5.09 acres (2.06ha). (c) Retention permission for storage of vehicle recycling components such as steel, aluminium, tyres, batteries, copper, lead, glass, oils, and vehicle fluids. (d) Retention permission for vehicle crushing machine and storage of crushed stackable vehicles on site. (e) Retention permission for an increase on the annual intake of end of life vehicles on the site from a permitted maximum of 900 per annum under condition No. 4 of planning reference 05/825 to an average of 5500 per annum. (f) Retention of 2 No. underground weighbridges to the west of the existing building and all associated site works
(a) Permission to reduce the ground level of existing ground by an average of 2.65 metres and removing approximately 66000 cubic metres of soil from a source site to the west of the existing and permitted Kilcock Car Dismantlers Recycling Centre depot and permission to deposit the removed soil to a nearby site located approximately 500 metres north east of the source site. (b) Permission to use the lowered lands described above as ancillary storage space for Pre-Categorised Vehicles (PCV’s), End of Life Vehicles with Commercial Value (ELV with CV) and End of Life Vehicles with No Commercial Value (ELV no CV). (C) Permission for the construction of a single storey industrial style side extension to the east of the existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot to be used for storage of recycled car parts for online distribution. (d) Permission for the construction of a single storey stand alone, detached building to be used for the recycling of electric/hybrid vehicle battery packs and all associated site works. B) Permission to use the lowered lands described above as ancillary storage space for pre-categorised vehicles (PCV’s), end of life vehicles with commercial value (ELV with CV) and end of life vehicles with no commercial value (ELV no CV). c) Permission to install a temporary mobile stone crusher on site ancillary to the removal of soil from the site. d) Permission for the construction of a single story industrial style side extension to the east of the existing and permitted car dismantlers recycling centre depot to be used for storage of recycled car parts for online distribution. e) Permission for the construction of a single storey stand alone, detached building to be used for the recycling of electric/ hybrid vehicle battery packs and all associated site works.
