a 20 year permission for development of a 13.5 hectare extension to its existing Overburden Management Facility (OBMF) on an overall site of 43.5 hectares, which includes the existing OBMF. The proposed extension will be limited to a height of 86m above ordnance datum, which is consistent with the height of the existing OBMF. The application includes for a new at-grade crossing of the existing Local Road L5612, and for the closing of the existing at-grade crossing together with associated site development, drainage, fencing, landscaping and other ancillary works. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR). The application relates to a development which requires an Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) Licence and the facility operates pursuant to an existing IED Licence (EPA Ref No. P0030-05)

development will consist of a southwards extension to the existing Platin Quarry, increasing the extraction area by 40.5 hectares to a depth 20m below Ordnance Datum Poolbeg; the demolition of 3 uninhabited derelict bungalows; the demolition of an uninhabited farmhouse, adjacent farm buildings and sheds; the construction of screening berms of between 4m - 5m high on the southern and western boundaries; and associated landscape works, all within an application site area of 45.6 hectares. This application relates to an activity for which an Integrated Pollution Prevention Control Licence applies under the Environmental Protection Acts 1992 to 2011 (IPPC Licence Register Number P.0030-04). An Environmental Impact Statement has been submitted to the Planning Authority with the Planning Application
a modification to the development previously permitted under planning reference SA803066, the purpose of which was to reduce carbon emissions associated with clinker manufacture through the use of lower carbon alternative fuels, at its cement manufacturing plant in the townland of Platin, Co Meath.The application area extends to approximately 0.64 hectares. Arising from further detailed design, the proposed modifications will consist of the reorientation of the main SRF fuel store & the redesign of the SRF delivery area / truck unloading station to facillitate vehicular movements on site; the redesign & relocation of the chipped tyre store to the east; the construction of a switchroom; the construction of associated conveyance equipment & transfer stations to facilitate the use of the permitted lower carbon alternative fuels in the main burner of the cement kiln.The alternative fuel types & volumes remain unchanged from those permitted under the base planning permission ( ref SA803066).
