the erection of a new 110kv overhead electricity line approximately 3.8 kilometres in length from a proposed cable interface mast in the existing Navan 110kv substation in the townland of Silloge to a double circuit 110kv mast (subject of a seperate planning application ref SA/50483) located in the townland of Rathcoon, Co Meath. The proposed 110kv line will be erected over, or in the vicinity of the townlands of Silloge, Simonstown, Proudstown, Castletown, Kilberry and Rathcoon. The 110kv line will consist of three overhead wires and two overhead shieldwires. Wires will be supported over ground on double wood pole structures, whose poles are five metres apart and have an average height of 22 metres. Where the line changes direction the wires will be supported by lattice steel towers of average height 20 metres and with an average base area of 6 metres square. The average distance between structures will be approximately 190 metres. Outlines of the structures and line location will be shown on maps and drawings to be submitted with the application. An Independant Consultants report on Landscape, Cultural Heritage and Flora and Fauna will also be submitted with the application.
