A ten-year planning permission for development of a 20 turbine wind farm, on a site. The development will comprise twenty (20) electricity generating wind turbines with a hub height of up to 85 metres and a rotor diameter of up to 93 metres giving an overall height of up to 131.5 m, hardstandings, a 110 kV electricial sub-station containing two end masts and substation buildings with water supply from new borehole and domestic effluent treatment facility, permanent meteorological mast, communications mast with control house, associated site roads and site works. It is proposed to source stone from one identified on-site borrow pit and remainder off site. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) accompanies the planning application, in the townlands of Aghadangan, Bunnageddy, Corhawny, Kilmacananneny, Cloonycarran More, Carroward, Trila (Martin), Trila (Dillon), Ballyduffy,Curraghduffy, Tullyvarran, Killavackan, Telton, Lackan (ED Kilgefin), Reagh, Doughil, Trilacroghan, Kilnasillagh and Aghaclogher, approximately 5 km southeast of Strokestown, Co. Roscommon .
