Development Description: for developments to sites at the existing Main Plant Production Facility - Factory No.3 Finisklin Industrial Estate and the adjacent Quality Control Facility, Laboratory - Cluster Unit 1A, Finisklin Industrial Estate - all accessed off Finisklin Road, Sligo. The proposed developments will consist of the following: A single storey manufacturing extension to existing Factory No.3 (Main Plant -Parent Planning Reference No. PD 3336 in 1990/1991), located to the rear (east) of the existing manufacturing plant sized circa 1219m2 total. This extension will be circa 10.1 meters high. It includes an internal mezzanine for plant and equipment. Proposed site works shall include a new gated vehicular entrance on to Finisklin Business Park Road, and an extension to existing car park for 6 no. spaces, with associated modifications to existing site works including road layout, and revised landscaping. Work also includes revisions and additions to existing external plant and external tanks, up to circa 6 meters high, equipment and site services items along with revisions to existing security fencing and gate, circa 2.4 meters high, and the provision of new (non-illuminated) signage. Works include a single storey manufacturing extension to Main Plant (Factory No.3) to the west and south elevations (370m2 plan area), circa 10.1 meters high, plus associated local demolitions and modifications to existing elevations and adjacent site works. The works also include development to the existing Laboratory Quality Control facility (Cluster Unit 1A) site (Parent Planning Reference No. PD 3337 in 1990/1991) consisting of 2No. laboratory extensions; both single storey, sized circa 153m2 gross area, circa 3.35 meters high, with modifications to the existing rear yard layout and the installation of new security fencing, circa 2.4 meters high, gates and new (non-illuminated) signage to entrance along with associated site works. All of the above works will be built in phases. This application consists of a variation to a previously permitted development (Parent Planning Reference No. PD 3336 in 1990/1991) on a activity for which a license under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 ( as amended for the Protection of the Environment Act, 2003) is required and will be notified to the Environmental Protection Agency.
