revision of the planning granted under planning reference no. (06511485) to include an increase in the size of the primary digester from 1000m3 to 2500m3, increase in the number of feed tanks to 6 tanks, to process pig manure and other organic material to produce renewable energy and fertilizer also for planning permission to construct 1 No. Weaner house, 1 No. Farrowing house, 1 No. Dry sow house, 2 No. feeding rooms, 4 No. Fattening houses, a dry store, covered loading bay, a geomembrane lined manure storage basin, a fibre store and associated site works. This development comprises of an activity in relation to which a license under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Agency Act 1992 as amended by the Protection of the Environment Act 2003 is required. To optimise layout of site this new application addresses proposed material changes to layout & design of previously approved 1 no. grower house, 1 no. farrowing house, 1 no. dry sow house, 4 no. fattening houses, dry store, covered loading bay, geomembrane lined manure storage basin, 2500m3 Anaerobic Digester, 6 no. feed tanks & associated site works. 3 pig houses and an associated pig loading bay and associated site works. Demolition of 3 older pig houses and the construction of 2 of the new houses on the same site as the demolished buildings. The purpose of the 3 new pig houses is to provide improved welfare standards for the existing approved pig numbers. The pig farm has an IPPC license (Ref PO437-02) An Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Screening Report for Appropriate Assessment will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
