to raise part of existing roof and create extended first floor area over existing premises, to remove existing dashed finish and point existing stonework to front (north) elevation, together with associated site works
for a retail (convenience, comparison and ancillary uses) scheme, approx., which will consist of the partial demolition, refurbishment and extension of the existing Maltings/Malt House (a proposed Protected Structure). The dev. will also include a change of use from existing industrial/warehousing to retail (conveneince and comparison shopping), cafe/restaurant and general mixed-use facilities. The development will consist of the partial demolition of the southern and eastern facades of the existing malt house building at ground floor level, alterations are also proposed on the northern elevation at ground floor level to provide for an entrance (with a cantilevered steel canopy and glass above), 4 No. display windows and the removal of the third floor access door. No alterations will be made to the western elevation. The existing tower on the roof at the west of the dev. will be refurbished and clad in metal panels. Dev. will also include: the partial demolition of an existing shed and the complete demolition of an existing stone wall at the west of the Gaol Rd entrance, existing office strucutre, existing silo and existing tanks, the construction fo a two storey building with a total gross floor space of 7,897 sqm, comprising a shopping centre and 322 No. surface car parking spaces. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be provided from Gaol Rd and pedestrian, plant maintenance and emergency vehicle access will be provided from Malt Vale/Air Hill Rd. The dev. will include the provision of vehicular (customer and service) and pedestrian (including disabled) access. The proposal provides for the continued use and minor modification of the existing access/egress to/from Gaol Rd to the proposed surface level car parking area, the continued use of the ESB access and a new emergency, plant room maintenance and pedestrian access from the adjoining Malt Vale/Airhill Rd. The scheme also includes all hard and soft landscaping; lighting, escalators; lifts and ramps for disabled access; cycle parking; plant areas; associated signage; changes in level; boundary treatments and all other associated site excavation and site dev. works above and below ground
storey and a half extension to existing single storey dwelling, new porch to existing dwelling, alterations to existing dwelling, erect a domestic garage and all associated site works
20 metre support pole to carry 3 no. radio aerials (3.9m) for use by the Emergency Services (Garda, Ambulance and Fire Brigade) together with associated equipment for a new National Digital Radio Service at the Eircom Exchange
