Development Description:
Application for permission for development (involving the amendment of Westmeath County Council Permission Reg Ref 04/2067) and for retention permission for development, affecting some 2,973 sq mtrs of industrial floorspace within the existing Iralco premises on a site of 13.299 hectares at Barbavilla Demesne, Collinstown, Co Westmeath. The development to which the application for permission for development relates will consist of the decoupling of some 2780 sq meter of permitted development(Reg. Ref. 04/2067), involving unit nos C3, C6, C7, C8, C10, C 11 and C12 for which a change-of-use is no longer sought(with the result that those units will remain in industrial (and ancillary) usage), the resulting pro rata reduction in the financial contributions sought under condition no 4 of permission ref 04/2067 to reflect the reduced floor area, and the omission of condition no 14 (special development contribution) of the permission reg ref 04/2067, which is considered to be addressed by condition no 4. The development to which the retention permission relates consists of the retention of a single storey (approximately 5.974 mts in height) industrial building (approximately 147 sq mtrs) ESB substation (approximately 40 sq mtrs) 2 no natural gas tanks (totalling approximately 128 cubic meters) a water tank(approximately 118 cubic mts) trade effluent metering hut (approximately 2 sq mtrs) and a gas metering hut (approximately 4 sq mtrs) The proposed development relates to development which is for the purposes of an activity requiring an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control Licence, currently under consideration (EPA reg no P0690-01)
