for amendments & additions to an electrical substation associated with a previously permitted, 5 turbine wind farm development Ref No 12/51/0385. The electrical substation is situated in the townland of Graniera, Co Tipperary. Proposed amendments & additions include: a change from the permitted 20Kv to 38Kv electrical substation, changes to the electrical sub station control building including and increase in the area from approx 66m2 to approx 70m2, (building will measure approx 11.4m by 6.1m) Increase in max height from approx 4.6m to 5.95m & internal re-organisation of the layout the inclusion of adjoining switch gear compound ( approx 688m2 in area) enclosed by a pallisade security fence & vehicular access gates & construction of a crane hardstanding adjacent to compound, measuring approx 12m X 12m in area. The proposed development also includes for landscaping and all associated ancillary site development works above & below ground. An Environmental Impact Statement has been submitted.
