For development of an extension to the existing hotel on a 2.22ha site, approximately, the development will consist of a two storey extension with a central six storey element over basement plant area (529.sq.m.) comprising a health and fitness centre and spa treatment facility (including a 20 metre swimming pool, gymnasium, thermal suite, outdoor garden area, spa-related treatment rooms and changing facilities); 54 no. additional hotel bedrooms, a two storey staff accommodation block (218 sq. m.) and the demolition of an existing habitable single storey house (222 sq. m.). The total floor area of the spa facility and health centre will be 2,659sq. m. The total floor area of the proposed development will be 5,753sq. m approximately (including basement).
