The facility will recover inert waste arising from construction &
demolition activity including concrete, bricks, tiles, or other such
similar material. The facility will recover, store, & transfer dry
recyclables and will receive, store, & transfer waste (other than
hazardous waste) for onward disposal. The new facility building will
enclose the retained conveyance plant and other industrial equipment
and will include a vehicle refuelling area. The conveyance plant will
be used to convey waste from collection vehicles to larger transport
vehicles. A waste facility permit would be required in relation to the

1) Upgrade, refurbishment, and alteration works to existing authorised office including: new internal layouts, new fire safety provisions including additional external doorways, new disability access provisions, ventilation, and new provisions for improved conservation of fuel and energy. 2) New single storey weighbridge building (c. 60 m2 gross floor area) to be located adjacent to existing authorised weighbridge, including: weighbridge office kiosk, canteen, welfare units including new accessible WC, & meeting room. The new building will be primarily required to facilitate systemic improvements to the recording of the waste types and quantities accepted into, and exported out of, the existing authorised facility. 3) New connection of proposed weighbridge building to existing on-site waste water treatment system (WWTS). 4) New solar photovoltaic (solar PV) renewable energy system including: solar panels mounted on existing facility building south facing roof leaf (c. 450 m2 of panel coverage), inverters, batteries, and all ancillary equipment and works. 5) Upgrade of acceptance limit of existing facility up to a maximum of 35,000 tonnes per annum of waste to reflect the available capacity of the newly as-built facility building, yard, and associated infrastructure completed under a previous planning permission. 6) Erection of canopy over existing authorised wash down bay (c. 72 m2). 7) Associated and ancillary works.
